LINN COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION & DIVERSION SERVICES
Part-time (8 hours/week) position; under the supervision of Youth Counselors will be expected to oversee daily activity of the residents of the Juvenile Detention Center. Lead groups, monitor free time involvement and keep daily records. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of college with an emphasis in the social sciences or a related field. Must have completed an internship with a minimum of one hundred sixty (160) hours working with high risk youth or a minimum of three (3) months full-time employment working in a related field. Must meet requirements and licensing regulations, including: ability to pass a drug test after offer of employment; a person who has a record of a criminal conviction or founded child abuse report shall not be employed, unless an evaluation concludes that the crime or founded abuse does not merit prohibition of employment. Must pass a County physical examination which includes a drug test after offer of employment. Regular work attendance required.
