Register Now for Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Winter/Spring Programs
The Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department’s winter and spring program registration has begun. The Play! guide is in Our CR, the City of Cedar Rapids’ quarterly magazine, starting on page 25. Our CR will be mailed November 7 and all Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha and Robins residents should begin receiving it this week.
Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation offers programs for all ages and abilities. Winter/Spring programs include school break camps, events at Ushers Ferry Historic Village, swim lessons at Bender Pool, preschool classes, fitness classes, blastball, baseball, basketball, football, golf, kickball, soccer, softball, t-ball, tennis, track, volleyball, art, music, belly dance and much more. New programs are Ballroom Dance, Card Party, City Hoopers’ Camp, Craft & Story Time, Head & Neck Massage, Meditation & Guided Imagery, Power Wheelchair Soccer, Reflexology, Self-Defense for Women, Sports & More Camp, Superhero Party, Walking Club and Zumba, The Play! guide also contains the Bender Pool schedule, dog park information and locations of cross-country ski trails and sledding hills.
For those who do not receive Our CR in the mail, the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department’s Play! guide is available online at www.crrec.org; at the Northwest Recreation Center, 1340 11th Street NW; the City Services Center (CSC), 500 15th Avenue SW, or at the Cedar Rapids Library beginning the week of November 20.
